Product Overview
This acoustic plasterboard sheet measures 2400 × 1200mm and includes a 12.5mm tapered edge, making it suitable for partitions and wall lining systems where improved sound reduction is needed. The board has an increased density of around 10kg/m², giving it greater mass than standard plasterboard and helping limit airborne noise transfer between adjoining spaces. This makes it a strong option for residential areas or light commercial environments where acoustic comfort is important. The tapered edges create a recessed area for tape and jointing compound, allowing joints to be finished level with the surface for a smooth, decoration-ready finish. Its standard size reduces the number of joints required, supporting efficient installation while maintaining reliable structural performance. At 12.5mm thick, the board offers the strength and rigidity expected in most drylining systems while contributing to improved internal sound insulation.
